Miami Tourism: The Changing Face of Miami

For years, the Miami Herald Building has been the face of journalism in Miami, as it housed the Miami Herald since 1963. The Miami Herald is the country’s 24th largest newspaper, supplying Miami with the critical information they need, whether it be the latest breaking political crises in America or the profile of the upcoming Miami Heat lineup. At its wonderful position in downtown Miami, the Miami Herald Building enjoyed a seafront view amidst an amazing arboreal area. But for Miami, the area will change slightly as Brown Mackie College has leased 50,000 square feet in the Miami Herald Building. This ten year lease, valued at $18 to $20 million, marks Brown Mackie College’s first foray into Florida, as it previously had over 20 locations throughout the United States. As an institution offering Bachelor’s degrees and Associate’s degrees, Brown Mackie College will no doubt boost Miami tourism to the Miami Herald Building, as students can now enjoy the benefits of higher education along with the hustle and bustle of modern-day print journalism. This will also provide a boost to nearby Dade City, Florida, as newly enrolled students in Brown Mackie College will apply their newfound knowledge to their neighborhood and raise the standard of living throughout Miami and Dade City.

Miami tourism and travel information

Miami is a great tourist destination attracting a lot of tourists every year form all over the world. If you are planning a trip to Miami then you can inquire about the various Miami tourism packages and plan your trip. These Miami tourism package rates are a lot cheaper than individually or privately visiting the place. The packages usually include arrangement for accommodation and other expenses like travel fair, food etc. A vacation at Miami is very adventurous, there are lot of places like the Dade city and beaches to visit that you will enjoy every moment of your tour.

The tourism jobs in Miami are on high demand and graduates who graduate in tourism jobs end up working in a cloth store or some other place thus ending up taking jobs that are not related to what they have graduated in, This is due to the reason that there are several experienced people who are doing the same job and stand in the way of fresh graduates. The reduction of hiring employees is another reason for graduate students taking up unexpected jobs. There has been a situation where graduates simply take up just any jobs like part time positions, as secretaries and similar positions for the sake of attaining income for a living. The student’s career goals have changed and instead of working in offices they like to start their own business.

puckstuckny6 asked:

I am planning a trip to south beach miami in July. I was wondering if I should plan a trip elsewhere or if its somewhat safer in Miami in July. I don’t want to go down there and deal with tons of rain or hurricanes, so any help would be appreciated. I know the hurricane season runs from June 1st to August 30th or somewhere around there, so should I plan a trip to california, or do you think it will be safe to go to Miami in July?

Sony Ericsson website and the Tennis Magazine says Fox Sports Network (FSN is channel 39 in Miami) is covering this tennis tournament. However, on Thursday it was actually on channel 38 and today, Friday, it is not on 38 or 39. Does anyone know if it got switched to a different cable channel? Is it Sony Ericsson or Atlantic Broadband Cable who is disorganized and screwing this up?

Leslie asked:

Would it be safe to travel from Miami to Puerto Rico with my 3 month old? In Miami I have central air conditioning, windows are closed etc and in Puerto Rico there is no a/c and windows are open constantly, and higher risk of getting bitten by mosquitos. Could this drastic environmental change be too much too soon for my baby?

A group of 5 girls in college, all over 21, are going to Miami the last week of March. We want to go to the clubs and hang-out at the beach but we also want to see the diverse cultural side of the city, what can we do? I want to eat different ethnic foods and visit markets if there are any. What are the names of some good clubs we can go to? Also, what are the names of some good, yet inexpensive places to go jet-skiing or experience the everglades, if there are any? We’ll be there for 7 days, 6 nights and we’ll have a car, so we have the time to do a lot and the transportation to get there. Any suggestions?
